AML Round 2 Predictions

I have a fever and the only prescription is more Vorbometer. Last week I went 7-3 with no matched scores. Now everyone knows that my predictions are infallible so the problems are obviously with the squads. I hope this week you can follow my predictions a little better (I'm looking at you Wasty). If you have any feedback, comments or suggestions please feel free to e-mail the guy that keeps hacking the forums. I'm sure he'd love to read them.

7rominence (1-0) vs. Blasphemy (0-0)

Victimise were due to play Blas last week but the game was postponed so I don't really know how well they're playing right now. Going on what they did in the pre-season (3 losses and a no-show win) I'm not expecting much from them, btw is Choko who I think he is? 7rom are pretty much the same squad in terms of style and ability that they've been since they joined AML, the training squad that doesn't get any better. This is going to be a close games, but not in a good way.

Vorbometer: 12-9 Blasphemy
Key players: pers (7rom), Kni8mare (Blas)
Watch out for: a choke-a-thon

Anarchists (1-0) vs. Shadow (0-1)

Narchs really surprised me last week against Secret. I didn’t think they'd be that good that quick. I see them practicing a lot and they could be a real surprise team this season. Shadow managed to lose to FnD badly, but what can you expect from a TRENCH WARS SQUAD?

Vorbometer: 12-3 Anarchists
Key players: G_BoNe, wasteofammo (Narchs)
Watch out for: Shamus giving up and finally admitting Shadow are a Trench Wars squad

BlackNike (1-0) vs. CRIPS (1-0)

A big week for Crips as 64 IMPALA SS re-joined the squad which gives them three quarters of a good starting four. Crips are going to make the playoffs, you heard it here first. Although after saying that, BN are going to shit on them from a great height on Sunday. Not that that should dishearten them, squads in the Thor division are going to have to get used to high altitude defecation when they're facing BlackNike.

Vorbometer: 12-4 BlackNike
Key players: Joe Bane (BN), bukkwild (Crips)
Watch out for: Crips tearing it up after this game

CHAOS*ZONE (0-1) vs. Warlords (0-1)

Warlords surprised me last week, I thought they'd get blown out by EF, but they held on for the full 45 minutes losing 6-3. If they had a finisher on their roster they would of won, but that's been their problem for the last few seasons. They don't really have that star player to build their starting line around and although they can stay with the big teams they eventually lose (also see the pre-season game against BlackNike). Warlords are going to struggle to make the playoffs this season. Good news for CZ, CZL starts today.

Vorbometer: 12-7 Warlords
Key players: Mission (WL)
Watch out for: At least one new W banner on the Warlords freq. Choose one style and stick to it. Jeez

CtrlShift (0-1) vs. }Silence{ (0-1)

I don't know what to make of CS. Ever since Redshift pulled out of Pro their roster has been getting strong week by week, this week they signed Dabomb(Milad), but they can't win. Last week they got their ass handed to them by Zeta. An easy win for them here over the Gauntlet squad, but if they don't sort themselves out soon they could miss the playoffs.

Vorbometer: 12-1 CtrlShift
Key players: Islord, Dabomb(Milad) (CS)
Watch out for: Another big name on CS's roster by gametime

Disavowed (0-0) vs. TEAM HOCKEY ZONE (0-1)

If this game goes over 5 minutes I'd be very surprised

Vorbometer: 12-0 Disavowed
key players: DudeNow, Zeeeeeeee (Dis)
Watch out for: Kat not playing even when it's 11-0 to Dis and everyone else has lagged out

ElementalForces (1-0) vs. NightBane (1-0)
$$$ Game of the Week $$$

So are EF for real? Are NB? We get to find out tomorrow. Most of the starters tomorrow are coming down from IML last season (United for EF and Friendly Fire for NB) and it seems to have helped the NB players more than EF, noticeably twIsta who is now NB's leader and will get a lot of kills this season. It's far too early to call this a crunch game (just like our match against dy), but it will be interesting to see if EF can match the hype. I don't think they will.

Vorbometer: 10-7 NightBane
Key players: Iron Hands (EF), twIsta (NB)
Watch out for: The Iron Hands thor. It made a comeback last week.

Fly-NDeath (1-0) vs. StarFire Elite (0-0)

And so it begins. ZDX will start in a wb, rocket and die. He will sc to a weasel, rocket and die. Then he will sc to a spider, rocket and die. He will then quit the squad. And so it ends.

Vorbometer: 12-3 StarFire Elite
Key players: ZDeathX (FnD), Divine (SFE)
Watch out for: The spec freq ripping the piss out of poor ZDX :(

Liquid Inc. vs. Oralse X

Interesting. LI got dropped in the pre-season and they've also pulled out of WZL this season, but now they're back. Malmox is back on the roster which is a big boost. They're probably a couple of weeks away from getting it together and against a team like OX they have no chance right now, but with Malmox back in the fold and the most evil lag in AML they should be pushing for a playoff spot.

Vorbometer: 12-6 Oralse X
Key players: chaoticsky (OX), Malmox (LI)
Watch out for: Pension's connection. If you've never seen it before you're missing one of the great sights in internet gaming

Llamasery (0-0) vs. Secret (0-1)

The AML llamas benefit by practicing with the IML llamas a lot, but I think they rely too much on Crunchy in games and a good squad will find them out. Secret should be a good squad, but due to inactivity and chokage they haven't been getting it done and against llamas' tight teamwork and patient playing style they're not going to get it done this round either.

Vorbometer: 7-3 Llamasery
Key players: Crunchy (llamas), trash-killer (Sec)
Watch out for: Around 1500 llamas on their freq
